Hi
Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

First a little history:
(or jump directly to: "The eBay Story", "Update", "Pricing", "Gaurentee", "Fine Print", or "Back Home")
Several years ago I decided that I needed to learn about PC graphics and programming to keep my construction company competitive.  I liked it and it became a hobby.  I never intended to provide assistance to others.  I have received several inquiries from this and other sites I have designed.  Apparently surfers are happier with the simple approach used on my sites.  All the Java scripting and advanced functions that seem to be so popular are fun to see the first time but when your looking for information or products it's nice to have pages that load fast and are easy to navigate and informative.  I know I hate to spend 20 minutes on some of the manufacturer's sites looking for "support" or "feedback" so I can tell them their product is making my life difficult.  Or worse yet, spending a half hour trying to find the iformation advertised on the link that brought me to their site in the first place!  When we started shopping on eBay it would drive us crazy to see an item that we were looking for but with little or no description and small blurry pictures or no pictures at all.  The ones I really laugh at are the listings like: "WONDERFUL, INCREDABLE, PERFECT, MINT, VINTAGE, ANTIQUE ITEM (that is only slightly trashed,  brand new, missing parts and doesn't  work)" or the ones that point out near the bottom of the page mixed in with more hype that the item is a "reproduction".  On the irritation scale these are right up there with the telemarketing calls we gat at 11:00 PM from people that are trying to sell us stuff we don't want by being rude!  Well enough venting.  I'll explain how we became sellers on eBay.

Now the eBay story:
When my mother and father in law asked us to liquidate their 80 year accumulation of stuff we decided to use eBay's auctions to both find an appreciative home for their things and to raise a little money for their senior care.  It has worked great.  After doing a little market study I designed an auction page and this site to really let folks know what they are bidding on without a lot of glitz and glamor.  Every item we sell on eBay gets printed along with the associated feedback and given to my mother in law.  EVERY successful bidder has been satisfied!  It makes my mother in law extremely happy to see that these items are being put to good use in stead of being retired or discarded.  Due to the credability of our auction pages we have been very successful.  Some of our friends have asked us to list an item or two and we have clearly marked those pages as such.  They have been successful too.  I have designed both auction page templates and web sites for a few people who have contacted me and they have been completely satisfied.  It would seem that the honest, simple approach is still very effective.

This all serves to explain why I design the way that I do.  KEEP IT SIMPLE!  Many people (including myself) like that.  If you would like a logo, banner, auction page, buttons, links, business card, business e-card, page design/layout or even a simple 4 or 5 page web site that is friendly and informative (like I think this site is) drop me an email or use our Feedback form.  I would have to charge for my time if I design something for you or list an item for you but most things don't really take very long and of course we would agree on a pricing arrangement before I started.

Please don't run off Cute isn't he !  thinking that I am opposed to animation, I'm not.  I just don't
like to use gimmicks unless they really add to the message the page is supposed to convey.  One thing I have to mention.  I don't use any images unless I can reasonably assure myself that they are not copyrighted or infringe on anybody elses rights.  I don't do illegal.  If you don't like what I designed for you (you will be kept completely informed of what I am doing) just send me a written statement (email is fine) that you have deleted all copies and won't use it or any part of it and I will immediately send you back anything you might have paid for my work.

UDATE!
I recently was asked to design an e-commerce site for a small company.  Rather than charge them for being a middle man for one of the e-commerce providers I designed the elements and site layout for them along with the overall appearance (theme) of the site to match their business.  They provided my work to a low cost e-commerce/host provider and then I tweaked it for them after it was online.  They were completely satisfied.  I don't particularly like their site myself but then that really isn't very important is it.  I will design virtually any type of e-graphic or site and keep it completely confidential.  I delete all files upon completion unless I am requested to save them for future updates.

EXAMPLE OF COSTS

  • Personal, 1 page web site for a very strange college student: $50
  • Auction listing: reimbursment of listing fees plus whatever we agree on in advance depending on the item
  • Simple Business logo for a very nice lady starting a sewing business for dolls: $10 (it cost me more than that in electricity but she was really nice)
  • Business Web Site: anywhere from "not very much" to "I could retire on this!"
It all depends on what YOU want.

GUARANTEE
If you don't like what I designed for you (you will be kept completely informed of what I am doing) just send me a written statement (email is fine) that you have deleted all copies and won't use it or any part of it for any purpose and I will immediately send you back anything you might have paid for my work.  Upon your acceptance of and final payment for the work I do for you, I will send you via email a transfer of all copyrights to the product or any portions of the product that I have personally created.  This transfer of copyright of course excludes any images, logos or writings that you have provided to me to incorporate into the I will retain the right to use the product(s) I created or assembled for you for example purposes to prospective customers.  I will however prominently display your copyright ownership of any such items.

FINE PRINT
I will not participate in anything illegal or that I suspect may be used in a manner that is illegal, inappropriate or infringes on anybody's rights.  Anything I design for you becomes your property upon payment and I will not be responsible for what you do with it when I'm done.  I make no express or implied warrenties or gaurentees regarding suitablility nor do I investigate the legality or legitimacy of your business or activities and I accept no responsibility or liability for these issues.  I will only work with businesses incorporated in and/or individuals resident in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.  Others will be considered only by special arrangement.
